You can run your show in the way you like but I recommend you to create a wiki page. It will be easier both for you and your customers to keep track of things. I think the unspoken rule is to keep things rather open when it comes to group deals. I think you have done a fine job and the board deserves to be offered to a wider audience.

Why don't you just copy the structure of this page?
http://www.diyaudio.com/wiki/index....Super+Regulator
digi01
thank you peranders:D
wiki is so cool,I have create one.

All regulator boards are accounted for, and we have gone over some!

If you stop taking orders for the regulators at this point, I hope there are some extras for the overrun?

Thanks,
KT

Really,it seems the design in general use is more popular:D
OK,then I will supply some extras for the overrun.

I will accept order from today till October 10.

Quick question, these boards only do one rail, correct? For a dual mono with + and - rails one would need 4, right?
digi01
Yes,regulator board is single rail design.for dual mono need 4 pieces PCB.

Please wait for a moment,I am drawing a regulator hook method.
digi01
;)

oh,finished.

Will you be doing maybe a second group buy or will your boards be available on a permenant semi-permenant availability.Seems that I missed out on your thread
peranders
digi, isn't it a good idea to write the delivery date in the wiki page? I think my idea is very good, don't you think so too? I'll guess you will avoid my emails and posts here about this very simple thing.

I recommend all of you group buy organizers to have a column for recieved payment and one for delivery.
digi01
thank you P-A.you are always so friendship.

for jhead,I will do the second group purchase at the beginning of November.
Because the pcb house of Beijing needs certain batch and can just be processed.

digi
jhead
Thanks for the response.I do have a question just for clarification how many boards are needed to assemble a stereo amp?
digi01
an integrated stereo amp need 4 PCBs,2 of 3886igcPCB and 2 of regulatorPCB.

a dual mono assembled amp,need 6 PCBs,2 of 3886igcPCB and 4 of regulatorPCB.

Got my 3886 and regulator boards + the amulet (which my 5 year daughter loved so much that I have to give it her) yesterday. Thanks a lot!

ps. How's the digital volume project going, will there be a group buy also for it?
digi01
Very good, hope your daughter is happy:)

about the digital volume,I am still perfecting it.wish it can be in more common use.Perhaps will offer kits afterwards.

I asked you if I am right because in the past you told me once "two PCB sets ,You have to pay the shipping twice". That was strange, the reason for quiting that order(MINI ZEN Headphone Amp PCB).
Now it's much better. Thanks.

the Diode holes are a bit wide set for the OnSemi MUR860s. Not really a problem as the MUR860 legs can be bent accordingly. But it might be a good change to make it a straight fit if you were reving the board at some point.

If someone was using "regular" diodes they could always mount them a bit vertical if the hole spacing was narrower.

Nice boards though! Mine are coming along.
digi01
thank you comments:)
you will find the space is very useful.
for example,if do the power supply of pre-amp with this set of boards, can install the international rectifiers(D37-R,Package)

Could you set up for the third round ?
digi01
I plan to set up the third round in the first week of December, offer with kits. anyone interested can join in;)

BTW,I am on vacation now, sorry to delay.

How hot do these regulators get?
I am using two LM338 per channel in a dual mono GC.
So thats two of these for one LM3875 IC with a transformer with an output of 2x25V.
Would a piece of aluminium say 10x30x140mm be enough?
wim
Thanks for the boards Digi, they look great!!

a few questions:

What to do with the holes marked "mute, DC+, DC-?

Thanks for answering and your great work.
peranders
http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/show...2987#post462987

Mute, there you should place a resistor under the pins of the LM3886.
wim
Peranders,

Do you mean a resistance between the hole called "mute"and a pin of the LM3886?

If i dont want to use the mute, can i just ignore the hole marked "mute" ??
peranders
NO! If you don't have the MUTE resistor the amp will be completely silent!

If you check the datasheet of LM3886, page 15, bottom right. There you have a graph over the resistor(or current) vs. attentuation.
wim
Thanks for your help Peranders.

how many is the drop voltage of the LM338?

the heatsink that I have used is a piece of aluminium 80กม138กม40mm,an output of 2X18VDC.it is warm, can touch with finger.
in my amp,the drop voltage is 4V per regulator(the transformer is 2X18VAC,then 22VDC to the regulator chip, adjusting, then output 18VDC).

in the attached pic,the upper one is the heatsink that I am using.

thank you Peranders:)

I guess it will be like 25VAC out, rectified to 35VDC then regulated to 31V.

Thanks. I think my aluminium will be OK considering they are only powering one channel so they will not be providing much current compared to a stereo set :)

That BPA200 layout is based on my hobby,it is a so big project of my layout experience.may be I have never process out it:clown:
I guess the chips that AN1192 article commend is LM3886.

so would it be possible to get a pcb from ya this round? sorry didnt quite understand if you meant yes or no for that question.

it is not available now.

the HCUP-a board can mount 2 big caps or 4 small caps.
the HCUP-b can mount 3 big caps or 6 small caps.

the attached pic is the HCUP-a layout.

Hi Digi,

Since LM4780 contains two identical LM3886 chips, the board size of BPA200 will be reduced if LM4780 is used instead.

Hi digi,

Are the regulator boards still available? I'd be interested in order enough for 6 channels of GCSS, so 12 regulators total. Actually for a GCSS (super symetric) would I need 24 regulators, since each channel uses 2xLM3886?

Thanks,
Ron

is this a PA setup or BPA? im not sure on what you mean by Super symetric. You would need two reg. boards for mono config as well as stereo. One board being for +V and the other for -V. Even though you said 6 channels what number of lm3886's are planning on using?
