This is how the epson 5500c works its internal timer is reset when you replace the lamp with a new one. The lamp houseing has a fu board (short for 100MA FUSE) this fuse is blown when you insert the new lamp assembly and that what resets the internal timer, eprom memory and flash are utilized to store this in the main board. my quistion for some one with experiance with these 5500c models is.
when the lamp timer reaches 2000hrs should the unit power down ?
If the unit does power down should you be able to restart it even if the hours timer has indicated 2000hrs
the reason for my quistions is because I replaced the lamp in the housing only I did not repalace the housing itself, new lamp old houseing, the timer did not reset itself because the houseing was the old one, So I need to know should this unit should power up or do have another problem |
