It works (DAC + Bridged Gainclone)! - Click HERE for Original Thread

I know there are lots of these "success" threads, but this amp is a little different :)

As far as i can tell so far, it works perfectly.
Now i just have to build another 2 of them (i need 6 channels for active xovers).

There are two audio channels on this board each using:
SPDIF-IN -> DIR1703 -> PCM1798 -> 2*OPA627 -> 2*LM3886 (bridged)

Yay :D

MWP, does the DIR1703 work fine?
With different sample rates?
It seams that the DIRs had a problem and TI took them out, no DIRs anymore.:bawling:

It works fine with 44.1 and 48Khz without a reset between the change.
I tried with 96Khz which didnt work, but thats probably beacuse of the cheapie optical recievers im using.

Im glad i have a bit of a stash of DIR1703's here :)

Wow.
This dac/amp sounds pretty damn good.

A little 50Hz hum on one of the channels, but that should be easily fixed.
The other channel is 100% quiet with no audio... exactly what im after since i sit under 1 meter from my speakers.

wow looks good.

How much was the approximate cost for all that?

You should sell some :)

Building the full amp (3 of those PCBs, 3*300VA torids, 19" 3U case, misc stuff) has cost me ~$800AU (~$550US).
