+/- Power supply - Click HERE for Original Thread

hello,

I have a 24V DC 1A regulated power supply and when I have it hooked up to a bread board with 2 1k resistors in series between the inputs and the middle hooked up to earth I get +\- 12V. But when I connect the rails to the active filter they change to -7V and +14V :bawling: Has this happened to anyone before or does anyone have an idea on what maybe happening?

Cheers

Did you buy that power supply thinking you would have a good supply for the active filter? Where is the schematic of the filter for us to look at?
Jye
Hi Bill

No, I all ready had the power supply.

The active filter is just the 12 dB/oct Linkwitz-Riley crossover with the buffer stage.

Cheers

The problem is that your "ground" is a rather high impedance, buffer it with an opamp in unity gain, non-inverting mode.
