Broken TDA7350 - Click HERE for Original Thread
borges
Hi,

I need some enlightenment on what happens when a chip amp fails. I have a car cd player where I can hear some sould when I put my ear close to the speakers and turn up the volume, but it is not very loud at all.

The player uses ST TDA7350 output drivers. Is it typical of those to let some audio through if they are broken? I'll have to pay ~$10 for each new one and solder for a while to test it, so I'd like to first know if you chip amp guys have experience in this.

Also, are there better amp chips that the TDA7350 should be replaced by?

Greetings,

Børge
