Hi everyone,
I need your help once again...
I have a Sharp QA-1650 that came with no cables so I have been using the RCA and S-video inputs only.
However, I want to hook my computer up to it.... this is where I get stumped.... What is that weird looking 26 pin, 3 row plug called on the unit itself??
I have searched the forum for about an hour but I cannot find an actual "name" reference to this plug.
If anyone can help please reply or email me at "corryn00@telusplanet.net"
Thanks for your time....

| well, thats the jack most panels use for computers, you will need to make or buy a cable with a 15 pin standard monitor jack on one end, and that 26 pin one on the other. Ive seen the pin out many times on this fourm, search for something like sharp panel cable or something. I might have a cable and powersupply for sharp panels qa-350 and up, i belive , if the panel i bought doesnt work... |

It looks like a High Density DB 26 connection but I'm not sure. There is a guy at the Lumenlabs forum who made his own cable, maybe he could help you. You can read the thread here.

In fact he is here on this board too. It's joe2000chevy.

Check out ebay also. They frequently show up there. Mikey P is right if your going to make your own call up some computer supply stores and see if they have a 26-pin DB plug. I think its an older style plug so it might take some time you track one down. Then follow the pin put diagram to connect to the right pins.
