I am planning on building a gainclone amp and wanted to run it off of line level. Has anyone done anything similar? I was thinking of putting a voltage divider on the input. Will this work ok?

I think I need to be more specific. What I was doing is making a subwoofer amplifier that I am feeding with the output of a SET tube amp.
