fostex drivers in australia? - Click HERE for Original Thread
mvagusta
does anyone know where to get fostex drivers in australia, preferably in victoria :)

maybe there are other full range drivers that are as good or better? (not planing on spending thousands)

Hi mvagusta

I looked into this a few months ago before going with some Tangbands. If you goto the fostex website and look under distributors in oceania you will come across Syntec International and they will be able to help you out. I got a quote from them for the FE83E at $69.

Hope this helps :)

thanks for the info, i checked their site yesterday, i saw a couple of fostex products, but no drivers, so i didnt even bother contacting them!!! hopefully they can get me the fx 200's

tangbands look good, but the quoted efficiency is a little lower than the fostex's How would you rate the tangbands?

Hi,
They are in Sydney, but try www.sdaudio.com.au.

I just purchased Fostex 206E drivers from them. The product line on website will not show Fostex, but they do carry some of the range.

Nice people too.

Hope this helps

Chris;)

I know this is a rather old thread, but did you order these from the US/Canada or is there a local source for the drivers?

I was thinking of ordering some but the shipping time and cost would be a bit of a pain...

Madisound ( www.madisound.com ) sells them, and in my
opinion, they are well worth the trouble - just buy some extra
pieces to absorb the shipping hassle overhead.

Thanks for replying, Nelson. I think it's Parts Express (US) and Creative Sound & Nuera (Canada) who carry Tangband.

I'll probably go for Fostex though ;) ... opened up some rather ordinary sounding computer speakers to find... Tangband!
