I've been wondering if it would be possible to DIY a ballast / ignitor for MH lamps.
I have all sorts of cores available, and a number of heavy-duty chokes, but no experience of this type of ballast.
Any comments?

| I am not sure how well it works but there is a link that I found on google (searching for MH ballast) that shows how to make a ballast out of everyday parts. I have not tried it and I didnt save the link (guess I am not much help). But it does seem possible. |
