I have a Proxima Ovation 810 and in the directory it says it has a s-video jack but, allthough it looks like as-video jack it is aactually something call a Serial/ADB with 7 holes jack and i can't plug a s-video cable into it. Is this even a video input? is there an adapter to turn it into s-video?

While I am not familier with your Proxima, the Serial/ADB would indicate a PC Serial Port, while the ADB is the "Apple Desktop Bus" (serial ports for older macs). My guess is that it's a way to control the panel, not the S-video input. You wouldn't be able to convert that to accept S-video if it is indeed a serial port.
