µa78hg - Click HERE for Original Thread

While rummaging my box of goodies, I've come across a couple of the above. They are 4 terminal power regulators, but I can't find any information about them beyond that. They're well over 15 years old, but unused. Anybody has a datasheet?

Thanks!

I did search, but UA78HG turned up no matches, so it would seem you're out of luck searching for partial words.

According to this site.
Italian seller

It is a positive variable regulator 5A if it is in a To-3 capsule.
They seem quite expensive 34.70 €.

According to this site though Malaysian lecture
The 78HG is a 500mA device ???

edit:Sorry didn't read the link carefully enough no news here.

oups, I thought that the µa78 was a ldo device from TI.

runebivrin, did you watch out for a manufacturer's logo? Mostly, you could find a logo like an f for Fairchild, on for onsemi, N for National and so on...
With a logo you could guess which is the manufacturer, cause it's better to get the manufacturers datasheet than that of another manufacturer who possibly makes the same device (but possibly with slightly different specs).

Good luck
Dominique
