I have searched this and other forums for an answer. I just won a Sharp QA 1650 off of EBay. It does not come with a power supply. For anyone tha towns a Sharp panel where can I either purchase a used power supply or make one my self.
I am not the best craftsman so I would prefer the already made route. I checked Parts Solver and they want $187! for a power supply. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Hi,
The specs on the supply are 12 VDC at 2A. The connector is an ordinary ring/pin connector as found on wall warts and positive voltage is on the pin. I would think any wall wart you could find with these specs would work. Or you could build one with a transformer, rectifier bridge and voltage regulator.

| Another idea it wiring it into a computer power supply so you can use it to drive the fans aswell. |

I am a fan of computer power supplies
in general I ( I) have had perfect experiences with those units.
easy to handle, a bit messy though removing all the excessive wiring but when finished (and cleaned up with some rubbing alcohol) they are good to go a long time, and look at all the different voltage output they offer, saying nothing about their stability!
Around here you can pick up second hand ones for $5.00 and I soemtimes go after abandoned pc's just to keep the psu's!
