Folks:
I will be building four integrated GainClone amps, and have ordered four Premium GainClone kits from BrianGT. I would like for one of the integrated amps to have two sets of speaker outputs. The idea is to drive only one set of speakers at a time, not both pairs.
I know enough to realize that I will need a switch of some kind and another pair of speaker terminals. The switch will be mounted on the front of the chassis, and I don't want to run the outputs from Brian's PCBs from the rear of the chassis to the switch and then back to the speaker terminals on the rear. So what do I do to keep the signal-carrying wiring to a minimum? Is there a simple way to drive a relay (or relays) to control which speaker terminals are "live"? Do relays add coloration or noise (including buzzing)?
Any advice or direction you can offer would be appreciated.

Why not with switch? you just have to swithc the hot as the out grounds will be common ground, one DPDT switch, and if you are concerned about stray coupling use shielded coax 3 sets of wires,
ground shield in one place only. |
