Dear Sir:

I am a beginner of the audio field ,
i saw many expert in this forum ,
please teach me something.

I have study some of amplifer knowledge ,
but it seem not enough, so i have some question,
please give me a big hand.

1.How can i transfer 12V to +/-70V or +/-35V ?any reference designs?
2.If i need to make a 4ch 800w amplifer , what kind amplifer i should to use ? class-d , class-t ,class-H ,class-AB? any reference design?
3.I got a ST5150 datasheet ,have any idea in it ?

If any one can give me answer and i will appreciate it.

Thanks

Rex

class is dependent on use.

class D, T, G, and H are all efficient classes. class D is typically only suitable for woofer amps, but there is a growing interest on these forms for full-range class D.

is this 800x4 or 200x4 that you are aiming for? 200x4 @ 2ohm may be possible for a car amp design.

Todays class D amps is certainly suited for more than bass work.
Some of the better amps (in some persons opinions) are class D/PWM amps.

rex,

IŽd recommend you talk a look at LC audios Zapulse. These modules seems to be easy to work with and can be bridged for 800W.

Mr. Triatic
i use ZAP pulse in my system, and i'm very pleased with the performance indeed!
as PAN said, they're very easy to bridge and run balanced or unbalanced, the only negatives is that the older models of ZAP has a pretty low Z in, about 2kohm, the new modules has about 30kohm Z in, try to get Pulse 2.0 or later, i think that the latest version is 2.2.
class D is perfectly good for most needs 8-)

how much do they cost per module?? I'm looking for something that can handle 1kW...or do I have to source elsewhere?? thinking of trying out Class D...

LC Audio also have a module for transfering 12V to ±70V, the same size as the amp-modules (creditcardsize)

I also have the zap pulse modules, version 2.1. I am very satisfied with them. Have always worked perfect...

Dear All:
Thanks for your information ,
I can't find any circuit in the LC audio,
any idea?

Circuit...?

Are you gonna build the amps yourself or do you wanna use readily made modules?

Yes, I would like to build something similar too. Anybody have a schematic for a similar class D amp that puts out around 300W into 8ohm?

Also, does anybody have a working pcb for the lm4651/2 yet?

The 12V (or 24V) to ±60V module is located here: http://www.lcaudio.dk/index.php?page=52
