| Opinions on my low-voltage hybrid headphone amp (this time with the right file) - Click HERE for Original Thread |

I am getting ready to build my second D.I.Y. project, Pete Millett's low-voltage hybrid headphone amp.
I got the parts list from his website (http://pmillett.addr.com/hybrid_head.htm), and started double checking everything. Attached is what I came up with. Notes are at the end of this post.
What I would like to hear from you readers is what you think of this collection of parts:
(1) are they he right parts to begin with,
(2) are they good-enough quality (I am not deaf, nor do I have golden ears), and
(3) do you have any suggestions for substitutions and/or additions?
I have considered adding remote controlled volume via this unit - http://www.diycable.com/main/produc...products_id=505.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

NOTES ON PARTS LIST SPREADSHEET
(a) The part numbers on the original list differ from those on the Welborne Labs website. I assumed the website had the correct part numbers.
(b) Line #04 has a minimum order quantity of 10, so I adjusted the "Total Cost" formula for this line to account for it automatically. |

I was not really happy that I could not modify my own post, but hey, thats why I am not an admin. I tried to post the file again too, but I take it only the thread's top post can have files. Insteresting. Thanks for the help though!
Anyway, to all those out there that have not lost interest in me yet, please let me know what you think. :) |
