Low ESR Caps - Click HERE for Original Thread

This is a fool question, but this type of caps are good for audio?

Ola, tudo bem? :)

This is long to read, but it's worth it if you're interested in audio diy!

And yes, if you need a higher value cap, so you got to choose an aluminium electrolytic (the mostly upright standing cans) you should better choose a low esr type.

Cheers!

Jung's article is definitely a "must read". So is Bateman's
series from Electronics World over the past couple years.
If EW is unavailable to you, you can order the whole
series plus other goodies from him for 15 pounds sterling
(plus probably a little more for postage outside of GB)

Well, no: Berlin in Germany :)
I just chose the french flag because it's my nationality.

Today I too searched for low esr caps, but they're not all that easy to get everywhere, and sometimes a bit expensive, so in the cases when you can go along with less capacitance a Wima Mks2 6.8uF/50V or 10uF/16V that might be the better alternative to a low esr electrolytic.

Cumprimentos too :)
(thanks for the formula, I only remembered "beijos" which isn't always adequate)

PS. nao me lembro bem do portugues, so falo um pouquinho :)
Dominique
thanks, Brian!

That sounds very interesting!
I just wish I didn't have much more things to read here already than I got time on my hands :)

Cheers
