hello all...

im gonna try and build a subwoofer that wont overpower my single JX53 (http://www.ejjordan.co.uk/jx53.html) when it sitting right next to it.

Im thinking about a W frame dipole, but can you guys suggest some drivers that are relatively cheap, and dont need to play too loud, but have good clarity and quality? No bigger than 12'', but i can go smaller

For Dipole im not sure but maybe you could use a subwoofer amp with a volume control like http://www.apexjr.com/Audiofile.htm

Check out the sheiled DVC subs at Parts Express. A lot of people have had good success with them and they are cheap...you can buy 2 of the 10" version and put them in a dipole W frame, and only be out $60 if you don't like them. They also have 8 and 12 inch versions.

Good luck.
