Sky0841: Nice project, can we see the PCB layout as well?

PS: Digi01, I am afraid it'll be a while before I get around to building the MJ but the boards sure make it easier:D |

Bas, do you have 1-2 extra 1794 you'd want to sell? They've never been available as samples, and I'd hate to order from Digikey for just this item.
Have you already designed a PCB? I have made a .brd file for AD1854 with an on board ECL master clock that I can send you. The design can be changed to PCM1974 quite easily, just exchange a couple of connections, leave out the I/V convertors and drop in another regulator.

| Is there really a need for all that capacitance in the power supply? I think we are definately going a bit overboard. My power supply for my DAC uses LM317 and LM337 with the capacitance reccomended in their datasheets. Sounds excellent. |

| BTW, your DAC looks really damn good. I really want to make use of these PCM1716's I have here. Where does one purchase a RAKK DAC kit? This DAC kit seems to be very very cool to assemble and use, but a full kit at $245USD is out of my spending range, despite how cheap it is. I am still happy with the DAC I built designed by jwb. I love that damn thing. :) |

I think that adding 10-100 ohms output resistance /after the opamp OPA627/ is necessary and will give great advantages for the stability of the OPAMP OPA627, in spite of the output interconnect. I would never forget such output resistor!

To Sky0841
How do you connect a toslink or a coax to your Dac?
Is it possible to replace PCM1798 with PCM1794 and how can I connect a external clock?
What about using cs8416 instead off cs8414 for use with DVD audio?
Thanks
