2-stage aleph - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hello you guys,

have build a little 2-Stage Aleph approx. 10 Watt
as a horn driver. Sound is very pleasent, but the noise is to high. Would it be a good idea to change the first diffamp to a matched J-fet pair
or have you other suggestions.

It would be an excellent idea. Try 2SJ74's or better,
2SJ109 matched pairs. They should drop right in, but
you might consider dropping the bias current by half.

Hello NP,
thanks a lot for your comments, that was what I wish to hear.
I will try 2SK389 as diffamp and built the amp
upside down with P-Channel outputs.
