New kid on the block when it comes to DIY Projection..
My Question is: Can a Portable DVD player with a 7" screen be used for projection purposes..The screen looks to be easily dismantled and it has already NTSC inputs..
Thanks, Russ

Depending on the screens specs!

ie. contrast, resolution etc.

What are the specs for the screen?

If you were to use one of those DVD players the screen would be in the range of 480 x 234 resolution. Guess what that means... Screen door effect. You’re also faced with stripping the unit in such a way that the lcd monitor can be used for projection while keeping the DVD player functionality intact. The cheapest I’ve seen those DVD players is around $220 and for that price you would be better off buying the liliput lcd that would be guaranteed to work. Of coarse it would still be a wise idea to check out the specs of some DVD players, just don’t expect the screens to be VGA resolution.
