a new pickup - Click HERE for Original Thread

i was wondering, can i simply connect another pickup instead of my current one, if they are similar in impedance?

is it worth it?

i have a slammer by hamer wg-1, and it sound very well for a 350$ guitar.
yet, its a 350$ guitar.

now, i ask if its possible to replace the pickups, with a better sounding ones, and how much do i need to spend so it will sound like a 1000$ guitar's pickup.

is the body the main cost, or the pickups?

hope i didnt drive u nuts with my questions.
thx in advance.

Things can be improved with better pickups for these types of
guitars, especially if the voicing of the pickups is not to your taste.

$1000+ performance is a very moot point, depends on a lot of things.

A full overhaul, set up and fret dress of the guitar will improve
its playability and tuning accuracy over the full fretboard.

Sky pickups designed by Kent Armstrong are good value.
