KBA-75 Help - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hi,
I need some help from all the Gurus in the forum.
I have this Kinergetics Research KBA-75 Power Amp and there is a slight hum coming out from my speakers (both channel).
Could this be from the power supply?
And when I powered-off, a thug sound can be heared from right to left speaker.
How would I check if both channel were equally biased?
Please advise.
Thanks,
Billy

Yes, most definitly must be the power supply.
You should check it/replace the smoothing capacitors. Also
the ground scheme must be checked.
Good luck

Hi jm,
Thanks for your advise.
The smoothing cap you mentioned, are you refering to the bypass caps in thepower supply usually connected parallel with the main filter caps?
How a bout the Thug sound after power-off?
Thanks again,
Billy
