Hi

I have a cd player which has voltage dual differential output dacs, I have already built the cd enhancer II, but on my second cd player I would like to try something different, again with a minimalist approach, and have mangaed to stuble across this attenuator tranny, sowter 9395

http://www.sowter.co.uk/attens.htm

could I use the output of the dac chips into this tranformer directly without any other (passive) filtering?

Thanks

Try this one.

I applied it on a Sony which has double balanced voltage output per channel, and sounds very good. No other L/P filters is required.
Ciao.

HI,

Thanks for the reply, so where can I get the required transformers from?

I assume that the dacs in the pioneer pd-s 801 are the old type 48khz dual differntial voltage out, so does that mean sot1 type trannies are required?

Thanks
