where to find a huge 46" wide fresnel lens? - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hi everyone.

I'm looking for a replacement screen for my 46" rear projection tv, which my kids just broke, argh...

Any pointers on where to get one?, BTW it's nothing more than 2 fresnel lenses (1 reticular and 1 normal?), the problem is that sony does not manufacture them any more; and i live in Mexico and no ebay seller will shipt the screen only...

OTOH, i just bought a boxlight 1301 OH panel which i'll be converting into a DIY projector in the next weeks, i'll post any advances here when they are available.

Thxnx, have a nice day.

hey amigo - I also live in your beautiful country- san miguel allende,gto- I buy alot off ebay but we have private mail carriers here that have offices in laredo- I don't think that would help you but here is a suggestion-depending if or not you have a paypal account with an confirmed address- if you do ,you can pay at PP and then arrange shipment thru DHL to ship to your confirmed PP address- if not - you must precontact the seller and findout what type of payment they will accept ( wire transfer or western union are 2 possiblities) then arrange shipment thru DHL( maybe only to Mexico and then you can pick up there). I think DHL is the only carrier you will be able to trust and they are very expensive. Maybe an alternative is if you know anyone along the border, to arrange shipment and then you drive up to Laredo .Perdon que no hablo en espanol pero los otras son muy lentos para entender-Kurth
