Guy at the car audio place told me this would bump hard in my jeep, Need a second opinion, thats not on comision =)

Downfiring Box
JL 500/1 Amp
or
Eclipse PA4212
2 10" JL W3 or W0's (He said the W3's are better, but he doesnt know if they are $100 better)

Thanks
Stocker
It could. See if you can get a customer reference for a demo. If not, and if you think the price is right, and you trust them to make the box right, it should come out OK.

ok, thanks. Whats the best way to find someone with that setup? I'm buying the stuff at Car Toys, ive been surfin around, and the overall opinion of the W3's and the 500/1 is awesome.

Thanks

Sorry, I thought you were already dealing with a shop...

If you are going to a shop to have this done, ask them if they can put you together with a former customer of theirs, if you don't trust them... but...

If you are at a top-notch shop, it will show. They will be proud of themselves, and ~may~ let you see their bays (which should be relatively clean & tidy) and/ or photos of prior installs. Talk to them, get an idea of their technical expertise. You don't want a shop to *touch* your car if all they know is "you slap it in there & it should work" type of stuff.

If you are doing it yourself, and you plan on going without a top on the jeep, plan to NOT have any cabin gain helping out the subs- try to get a fairly flat response down to at least 35 hz on your simulations, preferably lower.

Yes, done properly, it should pound. :smash:
Yes, JL makes good stuff.
