Hey I just got really lucky on ebay and scored an ovation 822 and a ovation+ 920 together for only 140 shipped http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...item=3814915190 ! I'm debating over whether to sell them again and strip a lcd panel or to keep the 920 which is 16.7 mil colors, 1024x768 and a 100:1 contrast. The only thing that I am questioning is the contrast, I know this is quite low compared to some of the other stripped lcd panels. Will I really notice that much of a difference between the 920 and maybe a panel with 250:1 contrast?

Try out the panels first, and see how you like them. If your not happy, your best bet would be to go the route of stripping a lcd monitor. A monitor with get you into the 300+ contrast range.

I just got my panels and I got all the cords for ovation 822 but none for the 920. I used the same power supply for the 920 but none of the cords for computer work the same. The inputs on the 920 look strange to me, is there a special cord I need.
Thanks, Chris |

Well all I know is that it uses a 13w3/13c3 (SGI) connection, you can buy an original one here, but that is quite expensive, or you could attempt to make your own.

Does anyone have any directions on making my own cable or is there anyone on here that can make one for me?
