wanted to throw an eton 4-300 into the door of my taurus where the factory jbl units currently reside.

should i add some sort of enclosure to aid the lower frequencies or leave it freeair? the Vas is 4.81. i've got a 10" out back to take care of lower frequencies and 6x8's for rear fill so i should be alright on the low end.. just thought i'd throw the question out there.

I guess you could get away with it being free-air. Assuming that the lower frequencies are basically cancelled in the similar Dipole fashion you could get very clear and articulate sound. Hope it works out for you!
