| Good day to everybody. Im building a preamplifier based on the 6sn7 tube and Im wondering which 6sn7's (BRAND/TYPE) sould I use. Any suggestions? |

When it comes to 6SN7s, the skys the limit on what you can spend. Off the top of my head, a few suggestions (your milage may vary):
Not recommend - new chinese, soviet, GE coin base
Inexpensive pretty good (nos) - rca grey glass, rca, sylvania, GE
Moderate very good - nos Tungsol, National Union
Expensive superb (nos) - Black Glass Tungsol, Black Glass National Union, Raytheon
Be careful when buying online - agree that most of the older tubes sound better but, prices for old 5692, VT-231 military designation and CV1988 european types is totally out of control
