potentiometers - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hi everybody, I have some questions about potentiometers. I know that there are different types like linear, logarithmic and antilog, but what type do I use in the gain/notch of a resonant eq (i.e MID tone)?.
I think that maybe because it's gain, I would have to use the log pot, but at the center point, it wouldn't show 0dB

In another application, what type of pot do I use to pan a mono signal to two paths (stereo), the typical pan pot of a mixer?

Thanks, Zahlm :)

Use a linear pot in both cases.
