IRFP240
I R

thanks!
Joe Berry
The first four digits are the lot code, which I don't know how to decipher, except that multiple devices with the same lot code were fabricated at the same time, possibly from the same wafer.

The last four digits are the date code in YYWW (year year week week) format. For example, the code 9017 indicates that the part was made during the 17th week of 1990.

Less than 1 US dollar each!!
Where did you get it?

$1 us each? This price sounds too good to be true!
Perhaps it's just me, but I'd be worried about these devices being counterfit. Can you check them on a curve tracer?

:) The price is very cheap. It's almost double the price in Hong Kong. Could you kindly tell me where you bought it in PRC. Probably it's in ShenZhen, I guest. Preferrable provide me with detail address.
Thank you very much for your assistance.

Hello Cephas!
You can search for 'matching' or 'matching FETs'.
Few threads available about the mathcing FETs, with very detailed description.
Also Mr. Pass mentioned the method in some thread.

Matching mosfets is described in the A75 (part2) article found on http://www.passdiy.com/legacy.htm

Here it is:

I say: Load them in, and fire it up!

I was wondering what everyone thinks, especially NP, about the 2SC5200 and 2SA1943 output pairs.

As far as BJT's go, they are some of the most linear devices available but they are not very rugged.
Cephas

Dear Cephas,
Thank you for your kind response.
I think it's worth for me to visit ShenZhen someday to shop for diy components. Do you have any information regarding the shop(s) or the shopping mall etc.
Thanks

:)

Was anyone able to successfully read the test result file posted by Cephas?

Dear Abert

In ShenZhen have a plaza"ÁÉ®æ", there have many components Shops.but u need to care some shops sell fake parts or remarked parts.any price range is quite wide. so try to compare more shops
all they are wholesaler so if u want discount always need over 3K
pcs. but try to ask for discount cos some small shops may work.

i u/l the file again

Change .txt to .xls and open with Execl
AMPMAN
