High current DC power supply - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hi all,
In the previous semester I took my analogue electronics course and thought of constructing a Class AB amplifier. My question may sound naive but I was unable to find an answer:
I thought of using a version of Pooge 5.1 power supply but my SPICE simulation show that it cannot supply more than 500-650 mA. The output stage will need much more current, what should I do? Are there versions which can supply more current? Is there another technique I am not aware of?

Thanks in advance,
John

Most AB amps use a transformer-rectifier(s)-capacitors supply:
