Nview 110 Vga cable pinout - Click HERE for Original Thread
Russ 0077
I've recently bought a Nview Z 110

Unfortunately the cable that I've got is for a Mac.

I need the normal pc vga cable pinout.
Also the panel came without a user maual.

If anyone could help me I would be really pleased!!!

Just another question. By the power up The green display just stays blank. Even when trying to use the menu controls etc.
Is that normal?

Once again Thanks.

Russell.

I dont know if this will help but I just got my Nview 115 and I just used a regular Monitor cable. This might not be what you need for yours though.

No that doesn't work, but thanks for the tip anyway.

I'll butcher the mac cable today and use the pinout from a thread "cable paranoia" and hope it works for my nview z 110.

is it the same type of connector as the spectra/spectra c (2 row)? if so, just go pick up (ebay or online is the best choice) a mac to vga adapter. thats what i used on my spectra (now spectra c) and it worked perfectly fine.

Thanks for the reply SQ

I've done a mod. on the cable now and it's still not working. On Power up I get the Nview Z screen but thats all.

I've got no manual... any few basic pages on the z 110 or z 115 would maybe help me fine. This is just not plug and play for me.

I'll try it out on another computer set with the resolution down a bit.. I've got no idea wif my computer nedds other resoluttion settings or so.... Ireckon that it should at least get a signal in even if the result was distorted whatever settings.

You see I'm tapping in the dark a bit now and maybe just need a few basic tips.

Thanks again bye for now. Russell.

first off, can you get a pic of the connector (or even draw one)? second, most panels need to be 640x480 max. if you go higher, they wont work. give that a start.

Thanks SQ!
Well I've managed to get a picture !!!!!!!!!!!!
The problem is I get a picture straight away with an ancient laptop, however when I use the new Laptop, then nothing appears. It's got to do with the resolution settings on the new laptop.

Try to set a new ferrari to run like an old model T- -!!! Thats what I'm trying to do now. By the way ... it works straight from the normal VGA 3 rowed cable.

Thanks for the help everyone. Like I said earlier, a few pages of a user manual would do me great.

Bye for now . Russell.
