Well; first of all. very happy to find this board.
I just bought this Enfocus 7600WS projection panel (1024X 768 and it is a passive matrix) from ebay last week, Believe me I was dreaming about it every night. That will show you how excited I was About this project. I am using 410W 82 volt bulb on the Overhead projector.
When I pluged it in the computer . The image on the wall was Blury and dark Even though I tried to focus and played with the contrast as much as i could. The image is not sharp and just it was not perfect as I thought It would be. i am thinking to buy a composite to vga convertor so I can plug my DVD to it it might look better. I just don't know how to fix the image and make it better. Do you think the light is enough? with the light bulb i mentioned above in a completly dark room. Anbody has any input will be appreciated. thank you very much. |

| sorry to say but no passive matrix panel is going to give you the images you want, no matter how much light you put through it. The response time is too slow leading to blurring and ghosting. You have to get an active matrix with a response of below 30ms, can others confirm the required respone time please. |

thank you for replaying. I had a feeling that I was very ignorant when I bought the passive matrix. just did not do my homework right.
can anybody suggest any specific good panels with active matrix and good colors emition? I found it hard to get all the information for each panel displayed on Ebay. It requires a lot of digging. And sometimes you can't get the whole thing.
I live in Portland Oregon anybody know where to go to those auctions So maybe I can find a good panel? After all thank you for your inputs. have a great day. |
