Hi, I'm wondering if any of you guys can help me with what must surely be a simple problem.
I'm using a pull down projection screen. It is called 'high gain', but perhaps I should clarify that and say it is not glass beaded, but simply silvered - it has like a light grey sheen to it. Also, it is backed with heavy duty matt black vinyl (to stop light going through?).
The problem is, the screen material seems to have some very slight horizontal creasing in it, like it's been stored wrong. In normal daylight you can hardly notice them unless you get up close. However, when I'm using my 400w ohp&panel in a darkened room these 'creases' glow like horizontal illuminated stripes across whatever image is on the screen - especially noticeable in video scenes that are very light.
Has anyone else suffered with this problem - is there a simple solution? Is it possible to iron the creases out of the screen, without ruining the finish, or melting the material? Would I be better off with a £3.99 opaque shower curtain?
Any comments/insights much appreciated. |
