I know ace is the affirmed master of the 7" lilliput projector. I was wondering if anyone can suggest some optics to me on my variation of his theme. I plan to wall mount this one like many have done before, but in the smaller lcd size it will get a smaller enlclosure size too I hope.
My question is this:
I am waiting on Ace3000_1's plans because I know his optics will be superb. However, I am wanting to experiment on my own some as well. What I am looking for are suggestions on optics that I can find in the states until the european supply becomes available. I have seen the PAR30, and some others. I have had a hard time locating the ge cdm-t metal halide and ballast here, so hopefully you guys will help me out.
I had thought of trying to sell my project video, but i decided that i would just give it away to anyone who would pay for the disc and shipping. I am wanting to enjoy my projector, and not so interested in making any money.
Thanks,

I had problems with my lilliput from day 1. I never got the VGA to work, it turned itself off after about 2 hours. Than when I stripped it, I think static killed it :(
I started a new project, I picked up a DLP chip, controller, and colour wheel LOL JK. |

| LOL you got me there. BTW, I am going to do something no one has done on this forum yet. It is a DIY 15" Lcd Projector but it will be so much different from every DIY lcd projector on this forum. You will see what I mean when I post up pics of it. Gonna take awhile though b/c I need to save up a lil to buy the parts. Sorry for your lost. |

Ace:
Do you think a NEC 1545V is a good 15" lcd or not b/c way back ago it was but now ppl gone up to CMV1515 15" lcds. That is what I am planning to use. As of now I got a killer CRT projector and still gonna make LCD projector...seems kinda stupid doesnt it. |

i think having both is great in my opinion, they both have their advantages and disadvantages, talking about crt and lcd that is, now for the monitor cruser would be the one to elaberate on this but from what ive read the cmv1515 is much better for colouring and image quality, benq seem to have issues so id say go the cmv1515, i would anyway but as i said cruser is the man for this or brainchild.

I live in Europe and I'll be in china in april,
is it worth for buying Lilliput 7" 619GL-70NP (XGA)
for DIY projection?
Is resolution and response time enough?
Is it easy to strip? How is the transmission ratio and contrast?
Please post if you have any good or bad feedpack.
It costs €210 in Europe. I suppose I can buy it cheaper
from there...
