Slightly off-topic: Shadows from Sync-on-green converter - Click HERE for Original Thread
Thoru
Hi,

I hope this isn't too much off-topic.

I've an old HP 1097C fixed-frequentie sync-on-green monitor. To use it on my pc, I build an H/V-sync->SoG converter. It works, but not perfectly..... The image is steady and has sharp edges, but there are some shadows. I tried to make all the wires as short as possible.
I used the following circuit: http://www.smoke.com.au/~ic/fix-freq.html

The ground is connected to the PS/2 ground and the VGA common ground. The +5 is also from PS/2.

Does anybody know what might cause the shadow? Grounding problems? Still to long wires?

Thanks in advance,

Remco Poelstra
