Hi guys, after 3 weeks of waiting on delays caused by the chinese new year, my lcd is about to arrive. I hope to have it stripped by this weekend, and begin box construction. I am outfitting a woodshop now with a table saw and router, so I hope to emulate ace's box until his plans come out.
Wish me luck!
wout
where did you bought it ? :)
jtbullet
that ebay site like ace3000_1.
there was a major delay because of the chinese new year. They were pretty nice though.
wout
do you have the link to the store?

i found one that sells it but they only ship to usa... :(
jtbullet
I may have to sell mine this week because of money problems. I will let you know. I have the bulb, ballast, and lens as well.
mikekniner
Jtbullet, if you strip it or anything and want to sell it. I want to buy just the LCD panel and the small controller on the LCD. I have the big controller board, but i screwed the small controller by static electricty. I aswell am extremly low on cash and thats why I'm trying to find just the part I need. Good luck.
jtbullet
Hey bud, hope yu find what you need. Email them and see if they have any for parts, i bet they do.
I am hoping my tax situation is favorable, then I will be ok. I d hate to come so far and quit now.
ace3000_1
so would i, that would be nothing but a big tease, all the best on your finances.

ok projector back on track. My philips cdm-t 150w metal halide bulb arrived on monday. I think the ballast will be here today!
That leaves:
g-12 socket (on the way)
reflector(in spain)
condensor(in spain)
fresnel(in spain)
mirror(in spain)
Mylar(cruser?)
aluminum
pc fans
jtbullet
Well my ballast arrived, but i am puzzled.
It has a wiring diagram for a 2 socket mh bulb.
My g-12 and philips 942 are single socket. Since i dont know anything about wiring, i am wondering if i got the wrong thing. It is from hello lights:

Again, it is for a philips cdm-t 942, 4200k:

Also take a look at the other form of the cdm-t 942 that philips makes:

This is pretty nice for a pre-made unit, though not up tp our high expectations probably:)

heya buddy, yeah that bulbs real nice, but kinda hard to find and abit pricey though, as for your ballast how manny lamp wires does it have coming from it? also is there a way to post a pic of the schematic on top of the ballast? this will tell us where the wires go.

Ballast wiring diagram

Think it will work?
slize
hi jtbullet,

looks quite like your posted bulb doesn't it?
jtbullet
yeah, but i think the 942 cdm-t is actually smaller. Either that or the 942sa(version with the reflector) reflector is bigger.

But the look is definitely similar.
slize
reflector is bigger;

it is a 70mm reflector in the pircture you posted

and i have a 56mm
jtbullet
Well my bulb was 36$. The german site lists the price of the reflector version being double that of the non so i guess you' dbe looking at about $75 or $80 for it. I bet you can replace the bulbs too and keep the reflector.
slize
price is 174$
jtbullet
the price is for what? The price i was speaking of was for the cdm-t 942 sa by philips. That seems kind of high unless the bulb is really good and the reflector is really good!
slize
lol missunderstanding there, i meant the bulb you posted

where did you find that?
jtbullet
slize, i cant find it. Sorry bud!

in related news, i received my reflector and condensor from ace.
The quality is outstanding, never seen a more reflective surface!
I am still waiting on mylar, a fs mirror, and an ohp fresnel, and 2 panaflow fans.

When i find a source of 1mm aluminum I will be set!
