He folks~
I posted a while back asking for design criticism on my new sub enclosure. I have finally revised my design with the help of many of your posts. Here are some pictures of a finished 1.5 cu.ft . Makore baffles and curly maple sides with ebony inlay. This one houses twin Dayton Quatro's driven with a Rythmik 350 from Acoustic Visions. Also in the link you will see a larger enclosure that is still being constructed. This is one of two reference subs going out fitted with Shiva drivers from Adire. Thanks for all the help you folks provided. I will be building a few more of these enclosures if anyone is interested.

Beautiful!

May I ask how it is fastened to the base?

i agree, very nice.
How many woofers are there on each box?
and also how many shivas ar you using in that big cab?
keep it up

The sub is anchored with a big removable bolt, a rubber gasket is used inbetween the enclosure and stand. The larger enclosures, to be used with the Shivas, will each have one driver. They will be used in a down firing position using spikes rather than a stand. Also the sub will be positioned on one of it's baffles rather than balancing on one of the corners. The larger enclosures weigh in at about 100lbs each.

Im just curious, about what ballpark range are you selling those enclosures for? btw they look great!
Heres a pic (or at least a link to a pic of the sub enclosure im almost done with: Its got a 3'' thick front baffle made of 3 different materials (mdf, particle, and ply) and the rest of the sides are 2'' thick (mdf, ply) and the corners are all made from solid mahogany.

The only criticism that I can come up with is painting the inner wall of the driver cutouts black so they don't stand out against the driver and the darker veneer. They look great!
