the expensive blasts that are above $100 are electronic balasts for a special type of MH bulbs. if you think it is expensive, check out the ballast for 575W HMI bulbs. The cheapest ones are above $300 (if you can find one at all).
Like TV sets, you can get one under $100, you also can see some $5000+. ( it is not appropriate comparison, but you get the idea) |

Yeah, accidently posted the same link twice insted of this one, and one for the more expensive ballast, but you got the idea...
18wheeler - thanks for reply, but my question is what's the difference , i.e. why is the expensive ballast does a better job? What'll happen if I'd want to save some money, and buy a cheap ballast? Where will I feel the difference? It's for a special MH bulb - like what bulb? Is that special bulb gives more lumens? Will the cheap ballast work with, let's say, a standart philips bulb that costs about 30$? |

The first one looks similar to the one I just got.All I did was take it out of the large case it was in.
The big difference was the fact I only paid $25 plus shipping for mine.
Heres the auction link. You might want to contact him,he had 6 when I won this auction. |
