Hi . I was wondering if anyone knew of a cheap processor preamp that I could use with the amps I have. It seems you can buy the entire system for peanuts but not just a 5.1 preamp.

I'd get one myself except for the fact it's direct sales and I can't :(
The only other option I've looked at that is not grossly expensive is the rotel RSP-1066 (still expensive but nothing like arcam or krell)... Although reviews I have read, do say that even in bypass mode it sounds a little "processed"..... here is a review pitting it against a krell (big pdf!) http://www.homecinemachoice.com/cgi...p?reviewid=3368
edit: The primare in that review might be an option too, not availale here in Aus as far as I can tell though.
