balanced input problem - Click HERE for Original Thread
Handel
Hi!
I have an old ML no.23 amplifier wich have balanced inputs. When I am using those bal inputs, there is a lot of attenuation in right channel compared to left channel. There is no problem in unbalanced connection. Can anybody help me?

Swap the cables around??

Anyway, deserves a bump...

Perhaps a broken connection at the input, so you only get one of the two symmetric signals. That way you will lose 6dB (half of the voltage swing)!

Interchange the cabling to test if the issue stays at the right channel.
If it moves, your source or cable seems to be faulty.

If it stays, it must will be an issue with your amp, perhaps simply a defect soldering at the connector.
