ciao.

just signed in here.. thought of it for some time..
but never got around to it.

i have build speaker cabinets, tweaked drivers
for the last 20. years or so.
lately i have made some speaker/signal cables
since there is very little of excellent cables
at low price.. to get..
beside.. it`s a real challenge.
and hell of a hobby..

i never have got around to building amps/preamps..
coz. my assosiation with electronics is very limited.

now i got another reason.. tubes.!
(why the hell.. haven`t i digged into this before..)

well.. well. i reckon i would be staying in the background at first.

Hei Geir,

Nice to see another Norwegian here

Welcome to the forums,
this is great place to be.

You'll have a lot of fun if you start building with valves ,
I am a horns and valve bum myself....

cheers, Jan ;)

ciao.

yes. i have notised there`s a few of us here.
could sertainly come in handy.

am as good as blank on diy electronic`s..
so hopefully am gonna learn something.

i have always thought about make my
stereo-setup on my own.. from scratch.

as said in the first post..
is atm. limited to designing loudspeaker systems
only.. have made some cabels for own use..
+ a turntable.. (based on a rega 3.)
(don`t have any pics of it yet..)

lately i have been cought up in the modern
mastering/producing of digital audio.. and the downside
of it.. even though i am a die hard vinyl freak.
i guess ppl. would do 2+2 on this.. (cd/vinyl)
but there is very little wrong in the "digetalisation" of a
analog signal.. it`s just the way it is done.

Hi Geir!

when i first found this forum about 4 years ago, i also had no clue about electronics, only speakers as you. Then i just dived into a couple of nelson pass projects, and with the help of this forum i really learned a lot! Today i feel like i at least have some basic knowlege of electronics, and having great fun practicing it!

welcome, and have fun! :)
