Amplifier Trade - Click HERE for Original Thread

I know things are normally for sale, but I am posting for a trade:

I have a hafler dh-500 amp which i am currently using to power my electrostats.

I want a hafler dh-200 or dh-220. (or something comprable in quality and output, ~100W/side)

Now most of you know the dh-500 is 255 watts into 8 ohms and low distortion level of .007%from 1 watt to 255 watts. A staight out trade is not totally equal.

But I am not looking to turn a profit here.

You'll have to ship my amp to you and pay those costs, and if you pay the costs to get your amp to me we'll call it even.

Im looking to trade these out because I use the elctrostats primarily but also own a set of DIY speakers I made that cannot handle this power. Tonight I almost blew the out by not adjsting the ouput before I switched over. I basically need a stupid contol.

Notes on the condition of amp:
1.) Scratches on top which look to be filled. Paint chipped in a few ares.
2.) bent in one corner where rackmounted bad. Off ~10 degrees, can prob be bent back with a good pair of pliers.
3.) One of the fuse holder caps is chiped but still screws in to make amp work.

The only thing I modified in this amps was to replace the fan on the interior because it was NOISY when I got it. It was pretty much scrapping aginst the metal, so I just threw in another fan.
Let me know if you are interested, and what you have to offer.
