Transformer Question - Click HERE for Original Thread

I have ordered a 500VA transformer from Plitron that has dual 35V primaries. It also has dual inputs for the primary winding, one for 115VAC and one for 230VAC. 35 - 0 - 35 would give me about +/- 50VDC after rectification using the 115VAC primaries (I'm in Canada). That is too high for the chip I'm using (OPA548). My question is this: if I hooked up my 115VAC mains to the 230V primary would the output be reduced to 17.5 - 0 - 17.5? This would give me a pretty nice DC level if true (about +/-25Vdc). Am I correct here?

thanks

Yes.
;)
For this you would put the inputs in series.
