| I have Sony X7esd cd-player and I am trying to upgrate the unit. Doing this I accidentally ruined a chip with number AD42712. Does anybody knows this chip? And is it known what could be used as a substitue? I am really desperate as there is no support for this player from Sony |

AD indicates it's manufactured at Analog Devices.
http://www.usbid.com has got 3 resourses for that device. Also no clue about what it's function is. Perhaps you could try to email Sony? |

If you contact Sony's local service and parts department they mostlikely will have it in stock and if not they can order it for you. |

| This would most likely be an AD712, if it's an 8 pin DIP or SO. |
