Multiple Projectors! - Click HERE for Original Thread

Well i had planned on originally using one projector, but now i want to use 2 projectors side by side and i had planned on powering the one with a vampower-11, but now that i wanna use 2, i have some questions, the vampower-11 says it can handle qxga but no higer, well the lcds i wanna use would both be qxga and connect through the lvds port, well the vampower-11 has 2 lvds ports, so i wanted to know if it would automatically put the same image on both, or would it take the image and distribute half of it to one lcd and the other half to the other lcd, but i wanted to know if the video board(vampower-11) would be able to handle not just qxga but double qxga if it distributes it instead of showing the same image, also if it doesnt automatically distribute it is there a program to make it do that, if not is it possible to use 2 video boards(vampower-11)? www.wideview.it has a free software to make it distribute it if it doesnt automatically, but it requires multiple pcs, that of which i do not have, and if that is the only solution we can come up with then i will dump the whole idea and just use 1 projector!

Hello there,

I'm sorry, but I think this Wideview is not usefull for what you're intending to do.
This Wideview is a plugin for Microsoft Flight sim. You run it an a couple Pc's wich are connected through a network.
Each pc has to run Flight sim, and can display a different view from the aircraft you are flying with on the server.

You'll not be able to use it for anhything else than a virtual cockpit...

ya that would work if i was using an nvidia card but the vampower-11 is the only card that can handle qxga resolution with an lvds port, so i unfortunately i have to use it, if i ever get an email back from the ppl selling the vampower i would ask them but its been quite awhile now and still no answer!!!!

For our LAN Party dual view projection we were using an Nvidia graphics card [not sure which model] which supported the dual display mode. I believe the TI4600 only supports up to 1600x1200 but can run that resolution on both monitors that are in use [I think]. We were running the projectors at 1024x768. For this card the option for dualview can be reached through the advanced settings in your display properties. Before the card was installed I did not have that option.
You should see if you can check as to whether the Vampower-11 has similar support through it's drivers. Try and get some technical specifications for all of the features it comes with.
Is there a specific reason you are trying to achive such a high resolution ? For playing games I would think you wouldn't really need anything higher than 1600x1200. I noticed you mentioned the LVDS ports on the card, but I am wondering if just a sheilded VGA cable would be a decent alternative as it seems LVDS is used more in applications for transfering data such as switches, routers, PBX's etc. I'm not trying to shoot down your idea, don't get me wrong but it's seems if you are that concerned about the bottle necks in the system, you are going to need to look into issues like memory, cpu, 32 vs. 64 bit architecture, and IDE vs. Seriel ATA bottlenecks as well. Remember too that just because there is a technology like seriel ATA for example that offers faster transfer speeds than IDE, there still are not many affordable drives that will actaully make use of this speed. Most 7200 drives don't even fully utilize ATA133. Anyway I am just curious about what you are setting up here. I'm not trying to argue, just really interested in what applications you intend to use your system for. Best of luck...

qxga laptop http://help.nec-computers.com/uk/pi...rm=platform_N22

here's the screen?
Nec Versa p700

being a raw lcd replacement for a laptop it uses a lvds connection, which the vampower-11 (http://62.245.135.196/internet/data...1256DD5004AEC52) provides up to qxga, i would be using my projectors for a lot of things from standard tv to hdTV to computer games to surfing the web to watching dvd's, i found a link a while ago to a computer with thre lcd monitors hooked up to it and the image was evenly displayed across all three, if i find it again i will post it!
