For that price you can get an XGA panel that is known to strip well and a TVBox for your multiple inputs.

XGA panel ~$180 link
TVBox ~$66 link
Total: $246
HouseMachine
These kind of things have crazy contrast ratio... ( not every lcd tv..) But I' m not sure about this one, so you should e-mail seller for contrast ratio and response time.

As he said there is a big issue... STRIPPING  This is biggest risk with this item. I think you should check DIY compatible monitors thread before your decision, good luck.

Thanks for the info guys. Since I'm a newbie I'll probally be paying brainchild's site a visit for a nice little pdf file to make it easier for my first construction. I'll also pick up that panel I won
on ebay so I can get a feel on how this all works..

Thanks,

Kevin

Anyone interested in a Sharp QA-2500?
Has power supply,and manual.
I do not have the vga cable for this but it can be made or bought.
No dead pixels everything works and looks perfect!
When I had this hooked up to my Xbox, DVD player and Sat reciever, the picture was absolutely beautiful at 8 ft wide on two shower curtains side by side.
I was about to put this on ebay but I wanted to give it back to the community if you know what I mean. Thanks!

Email me at el-nino@sbcglobal.net if you are interested!

I've heard response time for this panel is a way to low. no?
brainchild
I know a guy who has one and he says no. If you're a hardcore gamer maybe you'll see some ghosting. Also this panel's response spec might be both rise and fall together, whereas it is the new trend to only give rise (sometimes), making the panel appear faster than it really is.
cruser
theres so many ways to list the response times you cant rely on the mfg specs you have to see it for your self to be sure

wah! didn't know that, Cruser, thanx!

Thanks for all the info..

Just tried my panel out today with an overhead and I was pretty impressed with that, so I cant wait to really put one together..

Thanks,

Kevin
