Anyone seen an M108 ballast? I can't even find one for sale. There's a double ended 400watt MH bulb I'd like to get and it specifies an M108 over the M59. I'm guessing the diff might be the starter...
Any ideas? |

I believe this is what you need. I've searched high and low for an M108 ballast, but this was the closest thing I could find. It's pricy at $160, but a 400 watt HQI metal halide with a proper reflector and condensor lens will make for a very bright projector, maybe 1000-1500 lumens.
Bulbs to go with this ballast can be found here. I think they use ths same sockets as the 250W HQI.

Yeah I haven't looked too much locally, but online it seems like mostly electronic ballasts in that range (M108, and M102 etc) it could be a starter issue - which would account for the lack of magnetic ballasts. Not sure though.
