Has anyone experimented with mini LCDs, like the ones that you find in Video cameras?
Some video cameras also have S-video inputs, so it would just be a matter of fiddling the hardware a bit to automatically switch to "Aux input" mode when you power up.
Could make a nice mini projector if you can find an old hi-8 cam with a hi-res LCD..........: |

I don' t have an experience with them but it is possible iMO. If you can get a cam with a good panel, you could remove its backlight unit. But biggest issue would be cable length...
And lcd panel specs are very hard to find especially video cam panel...
PS: Some guy was also trying this.. Search the forum... |

if you could get one (and a good one means highres) and let it work , its probably pretty difficult to get a good picture from it , you need really good optics with those small things , with the big lcd's (10" and 15" tft) the tolerances dont have to be that strict, but maybe it could work with an old dia projector.
Good luck |
