Any of the aleph amps can drive the Aurigas as the recommended drivers are very efficient however the Daytons will need 60 watts minimum to play rock music at sufficient levels because they are only 89 db speakers. A stereo Aleph will cost about $750 to $1000 to build between sufficient heat sinks, two toroids, sheet metal, matched FETS, power supply caps, components etc. The cost could well exceed the $1000 if use use very high grade audiophile components. My suggestion is if you have never built an amplifier before to try building the Zen V4. You can see the article on constructing this amp at www.passdiy.com and purchase the circuit cards and matched semiconductors directly from Pass labs for about $100. Beyond that you will need two toroids at about $60 ea. Heat sinks for the power transistors that have a thermal resistance of 0.3 at about $50 each. Components for the circuit cards will be about $60. Power supply components will be another $30. Lastly, the chassis could cost you anywhere from $0 if you salvage something to $150 for something professionally made. Altogether the Zen will cost about $500 to build but it will be a much easier project for a beginner. At the passdiy website there is a gallery of previously DIYed Zen V4's and Alephs. An Aleph would be a very difficult amp to build for a beginner unless you could purchase matched FETS and that would be very expensive. Don't forget you will need a preamp also.
